So long Mister.......

We lost a good dog today. The best actually. Havoc was my in-law's doberman and lived a happy 10 years on their farm. I came to know Havoc when I was introduced to the family a little over 2 years ago and we quickly became fast friends!

Havoc loved to be pet while lounging on the couch. I was a sucker and would sit next to him and talk to him , sing to him,  and rub all the good spots he couldn't reach. Because I doted on him so often, Havoc would often seek me out and demand to sit next to me.Mike and I joked that I was his girlfriend.
He has the most soulful eyes....he was an easy one to talk to and confide in.
I could stare at this guy all day. I love him more than I do most humans. There is something about the kind of unconditional love that we give to and receive from dogs.
Sweet boy napping in the sun.....I know he is in a better place, chewing bones and chasing groundhogs and getting the neverending scratch behind the ear. I will always shed a happy tear when I remember him and know how happy he made us all.
