My First Catch! - For Real!

This past Saturday, my wonderful neighbors, Larry and Teresa took me out on their boat for some R & R and to see my environment from a different point of view! We went out on St. Charles Bay - which is 1/4 mile from our houses - and had a wonderful time!

Larry rigged me up with a great rod and attached a baby pink 'shrimp' lure - it looked like something you would buy to benefit Breast Cancer - you know, during October when you can buy everyday items only they are pink and the proceeds go to charity?
Anyway, Larry gave me a few pointers and away I went. His encouragement was great, and my self confidence picked up slowly but surely!
Anyway, we were drifting not too far from the coast and I had my line out, but was distracted by a porpoise. I was trying to get my camera ready when all of a sudden, I felt the tug! I had a fish! I reeled the line in and look what was on the the other end!

What a great way to spend a day! I have the best neighbors in the world! After we came back and rested from the scorching sun, they took me to Bellino's for Veal Portabello and THE BEST IN THE WORLD CHOCOLATE MOUSSE! I wanted to lick the bowl and I might have if Larry and Teresa had not been sitting there! Oh, those guilty pleasures!
