After Mike and I arrived in Florence, we were so exhausted that we took a nap for a few hours and after we awoke all refreshed, we ventured out into the city.
We happened upon a little coffee and gelato shop while we were walking, so we treated ourselves to amazing cappuccinos and pistachio and chocolate fudge gelato! Oh, this was such a wonderful way to start off our honeymoon!
After our mid day treat, Mike and I began walking around Florence. The city is filled with so many charming paths and alleys. This road was lined with beautiful olive trees and it seemed to climb the mountainside for miles. The weather was perfect and beautiful!
We took so many pictures by the River Arno. I am so lucky and in love!

This is the view of the River Arno from our room. When I first opened the window and saw it, I had tears in my eyes. Being in Florence was like opening the pages of a fairy tale and stepping right inside.....I can't wait to go back! ....to be continued.....
