Italy - Our wonderful times at L'Osteria di Giovanni

This is the first time of three that we went to Giovanni's. Michael had found an online review for it and decided that we should give it a try! The ambiance was so warm and inviting - big pieces of heavy old furniture, nice artwork on the walls, fireplaces...you get the picture - a quintessential Italian restaurant! We had many many courses of pure deliciousness and the wine was so fresh and....well - intoxicating!
Mike and I were deliriously happy with the food and decided that a self portrait was in order so we could show our enthusiasm!

Mike and I told our waiter - Enzo - that we were newlyweds on our honeymoon! Enzo took such good care of us with the wine and the food and at the end of it all, brought out the house cake so we could make the first slice! Such an honor!

Mike and I decided to go back to Giovanni's a second evening since we were so in love with our first experience.....

And since we were so in love with our first and second experiences, we went back a third time and coincidentally met up with the 2 beautiful young ladies from Texas who we had met on our train ride from Venice to Florence! We invited Brittney (left) and Rachel (right) to be our guests for dinner and had a wonderful evening with our new friends! Giovanni (in the middle) was so touched by our frequent dining, that he gave us each a huge bottle of olive oil that had been especially made for his resteraunt to take home with us. I cannot wait to not only cook with the olive oil, but also to see dear, sweet Giovanni again and eat more of his delicious food!
