And so the story continues.... Michael and I had wonderful beer, wine and spirits the whole time we were in Chicago. Above is Matilda beer - it is local to Chicago and had been bottled a mere 8 days before. Very very very good! Wish I had some now!
Michael and I also took in some wonderful shopping! I do believe we hit every major department store in Chicago! Here I am posing with Lego Man outside of the Nordstrom's. He was nice enough to let me sit on his lap!
Chicago Pizza Pie from Giardano's on Michigan. This was AMAZING! I think it seriously weighed 10 lbs. We ate it on the rooftop of the hotel on a beautiful Summer day. For me - this was bliss!
Mike and I posed with the Lion that was in front of our hotel before we jetted off to our game at Wrigley. This was the first time that I have ever stayed in a 5 Star hotel and it was simplydivine! Our every need was attended to and it honestly felt like a honeymoon before our wedding and honeymoon! I am a blessed woman!
Ahhhh Wrigley... What a beautiful ball park! We didn't actually go inside of the park, rather we were treated to a wonderful view from one of the brownstones that surrounds Wrigley. The building was about 7 stories tall and was filled with bars and food and televisions and seating to watch the game! Definitely a good way to take it in!The sky was overcast and eerie at time, but always beautiful! Chicago played the Astros and triumphed over them 14 to 7. Normally I would have rooted for the 'Stros but, hey, when in Rome... :)
