Last Monday, Mike was off of work, so we decided to get some early voting in! The three of us headed downtown and went straight to the booths!
Lucy was a big hit in the City/County Building! All of the ladies working the voting booths were happy to talk with her and so pleased that she has learned how important voting is at such an early age!
Lucy started voicing her opinions while I was in the voting booth, so we made our stay short and sweet!
We stopped to take some pictures against the beautiful backdrop of Knoxville's downtown! I love all of the old buildings mixed in with the beautiful plants and Fall foliage! It makes such a beautiful backdrop!
We walked down to Knoxville's newest restaurant addition, Tupelo Honey! Tupelo Honey is a favorite spot of ours in Asheville, NC and they recently expanded our way! Lucy was eager to sit like a big girl in a restaurant high chair - this is her 2nd time doing so and she acts like a pro! She LOVES talking to all of the people walking by!
And we LOVE the Venerated Veggie Bowl - Goat Cheese Grits topped with salsa verde black-eyed peas, a layer of savory sautéed greens and a
heaping dose of crispy fried okra. Served with Sunshot Salsa.
I get this every time I go and I love it! Not too bad on the waist line either!
