Yea for pictures! I finally uploaded! This one was taken yesterday when I went up to Houston for the funeral for a family friend. It was the first time I have seen my Mom in a year! It was so good to go home again, but I do not miss traffic! I literally started to panic when I was on 59 approaching the beltway and I actually had to use my breaks! In Rockport, the only traffic back ups happen when a light is out or the Winter Texans are coming or leaving in masses in their RV's.
Anyway, overall, the day was good with the exception of the sadness of the ceremony. I did get to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a while though, so it was very nice!
Mom and Albert and I went to lunch and then went shopping since the stores in Rockport are limited. Lots of shoes were found and I went home with a lighter wallet! I am super excited!
I'm sure it was great to see family again. Sorry about the circumstances that brought about the visit, though. I know what you mean about traffic; we lived in Logan, Utah for 6 years, a small college town/farming community. Their "traffic" is nothing compared to Houston's!
