I am still in Spring Cleaning mode. I feel like this is never going to end! Like I mentioned in a previous post, I was working more than full time when we moved into this house 2 years ago and it needed a good scrub down then!
3 days ago I borrowed a pressure washer from my neighbor Frankie. I was going to use it on an area rug and some pillars on my upstairs porch. The thing with the pressure washer is that it is extremely addicting! Once you start seeing how much dirt comes off, you want to keep going! So I did! I went all over my screened in porch, the un-screened porch, the exterior stairs, the pillars on the bottom of the house, the front outside exterior wall, the garage door, the aforementioned rug, a little bit of our well house, all of my lawn chairs and tables, the exterior windows on the front of the house - both stories, and the pavement on the downstairs porch.
I had to force myself to stop. I could have kept going for days. The noise of the machine was really beginning to grind into my head and it is not as effortless as it looks! I washed the rug three times because I couldn't seem to get all of the dirt out or the lines even!
I am so tired! But at least my house is cleaner......for now!
Rosemary, I've had fun looking at your posts. I'm glad you started a blog, it is easier for me to follow than going to Facebook or MySpace. I'm just not that technologically advanced! I really like your poem about nature, trees flirting with the wind:) Good luck with your spring cleaning. We're in the process of buying a house and so I won't get to spring clean it for another couple months.
