I have been super busy, so my goal of writing a-blog-a-day has been lost! The weather is beautiful here and it is what makes me truly happy to live on the Third Coast! It's Spring Break and there is so much traffic in Rockport - even on the peninsula we live on! I guess there are a lot of people camping in the State Park ! I will have to share my story of camping in the State Park during a week of monsoon rain, the scorpion in the shower and Stinky Beach! And to think that a month later we decided to move down here permanently! But that is another story for another day!
The dogs are loving this weather! I have been going on more walks which has been good, but apparently the snakes love the weather too! Zeus and Zoe and I saw a garter snake while we were walking today and I thought I was going to die! Had I chosen to walk 6 inches over I would have stepped on the "stick" that all of a sudden started to move! I literally curled my toes and walked as quickly as I could. My mom was on the phone with me and I was screaming and cussing the whole time until my adrenaline settled! I am sure she appreciated the shrieking in her ears! Can you tell that I hate snakes? I am almost past my fear of fish, but I don't think my fear of snakes and mice and rats will ever go away. *shudder*
Anyway, Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you all! I hope no one has any Green Beer hangovers tomorrow!
Where is St. Patrick when you need him? He'd have helped you with the snake situation!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great day!
I was thinking about the whole "snake/St.Patrick" relation after I posted! Maybe it was a sign!
ReplyDeleteI remember how you used to say snake by holding your nose for the "sn" then proceeding like that was the most normal thing in the world.
